The latest design of the new BMW 5 Series is a dramatic one and BMW enthusiasts are still trying to decide if it's for them. This is good news for the 5 Series models manufactured from 1996-2003 as they will hold their value.
There is a little less space inside the saloon version and in the Touring estate the load platform is slightly smaller compared to the Mercedes-Benz E Class, but where the 5 Series really shines is the comfort level, fineness and sense of quality. When it comes down to what car is more enjoyable to drive it has to be the 5 Series over the E Class.
The 5 Series engines are available in a six-cylinder or V8. The 5 Series is very responsive giving it that edge on performance this is also evident in the diesel version. The 530d can perform a 0-60mph in little over 8 seconds and does so very quietly.
There is a confidential communication with both the brakes and steering and the chassis set-up and rear-wheel drive are perfect for the sportier driver.
There is a very high level of safety in the 5 Series, when it comes to equipment the car is fitted with all that you would need. The one thing that you need with the BMW 5 Series is reliability and this car has it and more. |
